Although curable, leprosy still affects around 200,000 people each year. For nearly 70 years, the CIOMAL Foundation has been working to detect cases, prevent disabilities and support the most vulnerable.
Thanks to the support of its donors and partners, CIOMAL continues its field activities to restore autonomy and dignity to those affected.

CAMBODIA:
In Cambodia, CIOMAL supports early leprosy screening activities in collaboration with the national program and local teams. Active case-finding campaigns make it possible to identify affected individuals as early as possible, before irreversible disabilities appear.
These actions are accompanied by support for patients and their families in order to promote their social and economic reintegration.
BRAZIL
In Brazil, CIOMAL works in partnership with the Alliance Against Leprosy (AAL), one of the country’s leading organizations engaged in the fight against leprosy.
The program combines disability prevention, functional rehabilitation, psychosocial support and training for health professionals. This integrated approach improves patient care while sustainably strengthening the capacity of the health system.

I ACT TODAY
Every child deserves to receive a quality education, regardless of their family situation. Unfortunately, families affected by leprosy often face financial difficulties and are often unable to finance their children’s education. This is why the CIOMAL Foundation strives to fund the educational needs of children whose families are affected by the disease. With your help, we can give the new generation hope for a better future through education.
